Self-Description Inventory (Social Skills Inventory)
The Social Skills Inventory (SSI) is a self-report measure. The SSI is designed to measure the possession of basic emotional and social communication skills. The SSI is based on a theoretical model of communication skills that presumes that there are three basic types of skills: expressive (encoding) skills, sensitivity (decoding) skills, and control (regulatory) skills.
